Helen P. (Kelly) Romaine

Wharton:  Helen P. Romaine passed away peacefully on November 2, 2022 at The Country Home in Morris Plains.  She was 97 years of age.

Helen was born in Morristown to the late Thomas Francis Kelly and Julia (née Gaydos) and was a lifelong resident of the St. Mary’s section of Wharton.

Mrs. Romaine is a graduate of St. Mary’s grammer school, Wharton High School (Class of 1942) and she was a Registered Nurse, graduating from Old Soul’s Nursing School, Morristown.  She worked as a nurse until her retirement from Dover General Hospital, Dover, NJ.

Helen was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, Wharton.

She is predeceased by her husband, George Henry Romaine, Jr. in 2013 & her brothers Bernie Kelly and Joe Kelly.

She is survived by:

Two sons:

Tom and his wife Dottie of Wharton.

Richard and his wife Cindy of Dover.

Three Grandchildren:

Dan Romaine.

Megan Romaine.

Sarah Moreno.

Two Great Grandchildren:

Matthew & Madeline Mareno.

Also survived by her sister, Marie Yadlon.
