Helen Brady Obituary

Helen Brady (nee Didomenico) passed away peacefully surrounded by family members on July 4, 2025. She was born in the Port Morris (Landing) section of Roxbury in 1928 where she was affectionately referred to as "Teenie." She was a 1946 graduate of Roxbury High School.

She worked as a typist for the Navy and later the Army at Picatinny Arsenal until her retirement in 1981. She also worked as a secretary for the County of Morris, first at the Morris County Probation Department and then the Morris County Prosecutor's Office. In her later years, she worked for the West Morris YMCA in their after school program where she was known as "Miss Helen" by the kids.

Helen was known for her great baking skills. Her family, friends and coworkers all enjoyed receiving her famous cookies and cheesecakes.

She was a staunch supporter of US Military Veterans and Law Enforcement Officers. She was also an avid New York Yankees Fan.

Helen is predeceased by her husband Harry, Sr. in 1968; her parents Concietta (Ann) and Michael Didomenico and her siblings and Mary Esposito (Ralph), John Didomenico (Joan), Rose Didomenico (Eli),Vera Miller (Hort)  and Michael Didomenico. In addition, she was predeceased by her nephews Thomas Rufolo, Ben Lato and her niece, Lynn DiDomenico. She is also survived by her sister in law Rose DiDomenico.

She is survived by her children Charlene of Holland, Pa, Harry and his wife Kelly of Culpeper, Va and Charlie of Parsippany, NJ; her grandchildren, Kristen, Emma, Matthew, Will, Tim, Luke, Kristen and Steven and her great grandchildren Evelyn and Chloe. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews all of whom included her in all their family milestones and whom she loved very deeply. She was a great matriarch and will be missed by everyone.

Visitation will be held 4-7pm on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at St. Mary's Church, Wharton followed by interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Mine Hll.
