Grace Marie (Carroll) LaForge

Roxbury Twp.:  Grace Marie LaForge passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024 at her home in Succasunna. She was 89 years of age..

Grace Marie Carroll-LaForge was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 23,1935 to William and Frances Carroll. She had two older brothers Tommy and Mickey.

Throughout her life she had many amazing accomplishments. Grace and Mickey were performers on Broadway. Among other shows, she was in Song of Norway, a Star in the Window and a Young Man’s Fancy. She worked along side Kirk Douglas, Mel Brooks, Gene Kelly and Danny Kay.  She also performed for our troops in USO. Grace also worked as an operator for Bell telephone company as a switchboard operator.

Grace moved to New Jersey where she met the love of her life Blace LaForge. After a whirlwind romance, they were married in 1958. She was a loving mother to her two children Lisa and Lori. She is survived by her daughter Lori and Grandson Erik. She passed quietly in her home while sleeping as she wished. Her absence will be a true loss to those of us closest to her. Grace’s beautiful smile and charismatic charm is what we will miss the most. In her last moments, she was surrounded by family that loved and cared for her.

Visitation will be held 8:30am to 9:30am on Friday January 3 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.  A Funeral Mass will be held 10am on Friday at St. Mary's Church in Wharton.  Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover.
