Giovanni "John" Moschella passed away peacefully on September 30, 2023. He was born January 13, 1929 in San Potito, Italy to Severino and Elvira Garafano Moschella. He served in the Italian Army where he was in charge of driving the army trucks. He came to America on a long boat ride in 1952. He lived in Dover and then moved to Wharton in 1956.
He was co-owner of the Nazzaro Dry Cleaners on Main Street in Wharton, right down the street from his famous big white house on the corner. John loved to be in his large garden, cooking, grilling, going to Atlantic City with his friends, laughing, and putting up his nativity scene on the side of his house each Christmas. When he wasn't in his yard, he was usually watching his favorite sports teams, the NY Giants and NY Yankees.
He will be remembered as being kind, caring, and giving man who loved being with his family. He never missed any of his grandson's sporting events. John Moschella is survived by his wife of over 70 years Marg Moschella, daughter Jeanne Moschella, and grandson Marc Posey. Services were private.
