Evelyn Ginolfi

Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother Evelyn Ginolfi, 91 years young passed away peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital Wednesday, November 16, 2022.

Evelyn was born and raised in Jersey City. She spent summers at Lake Hopatcong where she chose to raise her family, she later moved to Randolph, NJ. and Naples, Fl. before settling back in White Township, NJ.

Mrs. Ginolfi was a proud and loved elementary school teacher for over 30 years for the Borough of Mount Arlington school district. She received her undergraduate degree at Newark State College, teaching cert at William Paterson and masters at Kean College. During her retirement she taught ESL. 

Evelyn loved to travel, was an exceptional gardener, an exotic bird enthusiast, cherished her beloved teacup yorkies; enjoyed various crafts and was a member of the Red Hat Society of Belvedere.

Evelyn is survived by her 4 children; Christie and husband Michael, Gerard and wife Jennifer, Dianne and Albert; her 6 grandchildren Mikayla, Colleen, Karen, David, PJ, and Carrie; her 9 Great grandchildren; her sister Barbra Meyers and her best feathered friends “Puffin & Popeye”.

Evelyn is predeceased by her brother Richard, daughter Patricia, daughter-in-law Susan and Son-in-laws Jeff and Carl. 

A memorial visitation will be held 4-7pm Friday, December 2, 2022 at Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.

A memorial mass will be held 10:30am Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 204 Espanong Rd., Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn’s memory to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
