Ethel E. (Cook) Courter

Rockaway:  Ethel E. Courter (née Cook), 96, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Troy Hills Center, Parsippany.

Ethel was born in Chester and raised in Hibernia and Rockaway.

Mrs. Courter was a secretary at Honeywell of Florham Park for 29 years, retiring in 1993.

She was the former treasurer for the Mine Hill Good Years Club for 9 years.

Predeceased by her husband, Howard in 1977 and her son, Howard, Jr. in 2001, and 3 sisters; Betty Carbone, Dorothy Williams and Anna Struble.

Survived by her daughter, Kathy Buerger of Wharton.

2 Brothers:  Edward Cook of Florida and John Capitulik of PA.

Two Grandchildren:  Kristen Cerdas and husband Victor of Budd Lake.

                                         Kelly Buerger of West Milford.

Two Great Grandchildren:  Khai & Jaxx Cerdas.

Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 5-8pm on Friday, February, 16, 2024 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.

A funeral service will be held 10am on Saturday at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Rockaway Presbyterian Cemetery, Rockaway, NJ.
