Eslyn C. Young

Dover: Eslyn Young, age 85, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2020 at Troy Hills Center in Parsippany. She was born November 30, 1934 in Grenada. Eslyn was always hungry for a better opportunity, so she left Grenada and found herself in Trinidad with her four children. Over the years she was given the chance at the American Dream. In 1984, Eslyn migrated to the United States and took residence in Dover, NJ for the past 30 years. She began working in housekeeping at St. Claire’s Hospital of Dover for 15 years and continued to educate herself to become a Home Health Aide for VNA for 20 years. Eslyn a devoted Christian would sing her heart and soul to all who would listen. God gave her a talent that wasn’t going to be wasted. Her presence was known whenever she entered any room. The perfect example of beauty, grace, love, and kindness. She was born a fighter and passed away as a warrior. 

Preceded in death by her mother Faith Cameron,  husband Arnold Young and son Denroy Trevor Cameron. She is survived by three children; Vanessa Crooks and her husband Hayden of Dover, Ricky Young and his wife Joanne of Randolph and Wayne Young and his wife Tamika of Dover, 11 grandchildren; Kevin, Aurelia, Keron, Janelle, Jamila, Akino, Simeon, Levy, Jennice, Rhea, Jaleah; 12 great-grandchildren,  2 brothers; Alan George and his wife Yvonne and Victor Cameron, 2 sisters; Joyce Cameron and Sheila Cameron. Nieces- Janet, Yvonne, Shirely, Althea. Nephews- Desmond, Ian, Jerry, Joan,Floyd, cousins, and many others.

Viewing will be held 5pm - 7:30 pm. Funeral service at 7:30pm on Friday, March 20, 2020, at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton. Interment will be private.
