It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Efrain Alvarado Maradiaga, who left this world on September 1, 2025, at the age of 36, following a tragic motorcycle accident in Port Jervis, New York, after spending the day riding with friends.

Efrain was born on December 18, 1988, at El Seguro Social de Tegucigalpa, Honduras, to Efraín Alvarado Arita and Dalia Patricia Maradiaga.

He was a devoted husband to Catherine Martinez and a loving father to his cherished daughter, Alessandra Alvarado Martinez. Efrain also had a deep and special attachment to his stepson, Bryan Urgilez Martinez. Those closest to him often described this relationship as a unique and special connection, one filled with love and mutual respect.

Efrain also leaves behind his brothers, Alexander and Darío Alvarado, along with many extended family members and countless friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Efrain was a man with a big heart, always making people laugh, lifting the spirits of those around him, giving advice, helping others, and treating everyone with respect. His jokes and joyful presence left behind countless memories that will never be forgotten. He loved to travel, ride, and discover new places, always seeking to share those experiences with others.

At work, Efrain was admired as a leader and as a CNC Machinist at Service Metal Fabricating. He always welcomed challenges and was ready to take on any machine without hesitation. He often spoke fondly of his time at NJ Precision and of his coworkers there, who now miss him deeply.

At home, he filled the house with laughter and stories, often entertaining the children with tales from his own childhood with his brothers. His family and friends hold countless memories of his humor, kindness, and love, treasures that will remain forever in their hearts.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S Main St, Wharton, NJ 07885. Following the services, Efrain will be cremated in accordance with his family’s wishes.

Though his life ended far too soon, the legacy of Efrain’s love, laughter, and faith will live on through his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

Con profunda tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Efrain Alvarado Maradiaga, quien partió de este mundo el 1 de septiembre de 2025, a la edad de 36 años, tras un trágico accidente de motocicleta en Port Jervis, Nueva York, después de haber pasado el día compartiendo con sus amigos.

Efrain nació el 18 de diciembre de 1988, en El Seguro Social de Tegucigalpa, Honduras, hijo de Efraín Alvarado Arita y Dalia Patricia Maradiaga.

Fue un esposo devoto de Catherine Martinez y un padre amoroso de su querida hija, Alessandra Alvarado Martinez. Efraín también tuvo un lazo muy especial con su hijastro, Bryan Urgilez Martinez, relación que sus amigos más cercanos describen como una conexión única y especial, llena de cariño y respeto mutuo.

Dejando a sus hermanos, Alexander y Darío Alvarado, junto a muchos familiares y amigos que siempre llevarán vivo su recuerdo en el corazón.

Efrain era un hombre de gran corazón, siempre haciendo reír, levantando el ánimo de quienes lo rodeaban, aconsejando, ayudando y mostrando respeto hacia todos. Sus bromas y su alegría dejaron incontables memorias que nunca serán olvidadas. Le encantaba viajar, conducir su moto y conocer nuevos lugares, compartiendo esas experiencias con quienes amaba.

En su vida laboral, Efrain fue admirado como líder y como maquinista CNC en Service Metal Fabricating. Siempre aceptaba los retos y estaba dispuesto a tomar cualquier máquina sin dudarlo. Hablaba con cariño de su tiempo en NJ Precision y de sus compañeros de trabajo allí, quienes hoy lo extrañan profundamente.

En el hogar, llenaba la casa de risa y relatos, contando a los niños historias de su infancia junto a sus hermanos. Su familia y amigos conservan incontables recuerdos de su humor, bondad y amor, tesoros que permanecerán por siempre.

La velación se llevará a cabo el jueves 4 de septiembre de 2025, de 4:00 PM a 8:00 PM en Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S Main St, Wharton, NJ 07885. De acuerdo con los deseos de su familia, Efraín será cremado tras los servicios.

Aunque su vida terminó demasiado pronto, el legado del amor, la alegría y la fe de Efraín vivirá eternamente en su familia, sus amigos y en todos aquellos cuyas vidas tocó.
