Rockaway Township: Edward M. Jordan passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. He was 87 years of age.
Edward was born in the Richard Mine section of the Township and was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Jordan was a boiler fireman for L.E. Carpenters until its closing and then retired from Hercules Powder Company in 1998.
He was a NJ Exempt Fireman of the Mt. Hope Fire Company #2 with 50 years of active service. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Bernard’s Parish. He was also a past member of the North Jersey Street Rod Association and the Rockaway Township Sportsman Association.
Predeceased by his parents William and Ida (Trevena). His wife, Patricia Ann (Berry) in 2018, brother William and sister Mary Spangenberg.

Deborah Apgar and husband Douglas of Rockaway Twp.
Anna Jordan of Ormond Beach, FL.
Two beloved Granddaughters:
Jennifer Van Natta and husband Harry of Jefferson Twp.
Samantha Apgar of Wharton.
Two dear Great Grandsons: Michael & Sean Van Natta.
Also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 12-4pm on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.
A funeral mass will be held 10:30am on Monday at St. Bernard’s Parish, 22 St Bernards Rd, Wharton, NJ 07885.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mine Hill.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Edward’s memory to Mt. Hope Fire Company #2, 600 Mt. Hope Rd., Wharton, NJ 07885 would be appreciated.
