Edith M. (Meeker) Stites

Dover:  Edith M. Stites passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at St. Clare’s Hospital/Dover General.  She was 102 years of age.

Edith was born in Dover and was a lifelong resident.

Mrs. Stites was a clerk at Picatinny Arsenal for 10 years and worked in the same capacity for various stores in Dover.

She was an active, lifelong member of Founders Baptist Church of Dover.

Predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1992 and her son David in 2003 as well as her four siblings; Roy, Robert, Ruth & Hazel.

Survived by her Son Theodore and wife Barbara of Randolph & her daughter Janet Maners and husband Virgil of Dallas, TX.

Also survived by 8 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 10-11am on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.

A funeral service will be held 11am after the visitation, also at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Randolph.
