Dorothy Lillian Nagle, affectionately known as Dottie, passed away on May 25, 2024 in Covington, GA. Born to Susan and Alva Kimball on August 10, 1921, in Hollis, Maine, she was the oldest of 4 children.
Dottie was a cherished member of the Kimball family, sister to the late Charles (late Methel) Kimball, the late Joe Kimball, and the late Reggie Kimball. In 1944, she married her beloved Frank Nagle in a beautiful ceremony in Portland, Maine before setting up a household in East Millstone, NJ; finally establishing their permanent residence in Branchburg, NJ.
A graduate of Hollis High School and Portland Business College, Dottie dedicated her life to raising her children while performing charitable work as a member of the International Order of the Rebekahs. Once her children were grown, Dottie went to work for Van Syckle Realty in Bound Brook, NJ where she was the Office Manager until she retired in 2001.
Dottie was devoted to her 2 children, the late Paula (Tom) Christie and Frank (Stacy) Nagle, who remember her as a woman who loved to laugh, who enjoyed a good joke, and who was always willing to pull a prank; she was full of joyful stories. As her Grandchildren came along, she lovingly became known as Nana. Nana's six Grandchildren are Stephen (JoAnn), Allison (Richard), Stacy, Kristy (Johnny), Frank, David (Lindsey), and eight Great Grandchildren, Ryan, Brendan, Meghan, John, Nicholas, Michael, Madison, Benjamin, and Emery, along with daughter-in-law Mary who will continue her legacy of caring, laughter, and joy.
As a lifelong member of the International Order of the Rebekahs, Dottie worked her way through various positions in the order, serving as secretary, treasurer, and, ultimately, as the President of the New Jersey Chapter. Dottie traveled nationally and internationally with the order, receiving several honors and awards for her charitable work.
