Oak Ridge: Donald J. Swidrak passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 17, 2020 at Morristown Medical Center. He was 71 years of age.
Don was born in Passaic to the late Joseph and Gertrude Swidrak, and was raised in Clifton. He lived the past 30 years in Oak Ridge. He worked as a Mechanic at Hoffman La Roche in Nutley for 45 years.
Don not only enjoyed working on vehicles from a very young age, he also loved to enjoy them out on the road. He was passionate about Harley Davidsons and Corvettes and always went to car shows, and really enjoyed meeting new people along the way. Don was a loving father and grandfather and loved spending time with family.
He was predeceased by his brother Michael Swidrak.
He is survived by 3 daughters; Vanessa Luke of Lake Hopatcong, Brigitte Rose and her husband Mike of Oak Ridge and Michele Szwed and her husband Henry of Glen Ridge, 5 grandchildren; Madelyn, Mikey, Elodie, Hannah and Ava and sister Carole Thomas of PA.
Visitation will be held 5-7pm on Tuesday January 21, at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton. A Funeral Service will be held at 7pm at the Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
