Randolph: Dolores J. Matyola passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Excel Care, Dover. She was 93 years of age.
Dolores was born in Dover to the late Joseph Sloskie and Edna (Burr) and raised in Rockaway before moving to Randolph after her marriage to the late John Matyola.
Mrs. Matyola was an Administrative Secretary for the Superintendent of the Morris Hills and Morris Knolls school systems, retiring in 1989 after over 30 years of service.
She was an active, lifelong parishioner of SS Peter & Paul Orthodox Church in Rockaway. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and game shows.
Predeceased by her husband John in 2009.
Survived by her four children:
John M. Matyola of Toms River.
Thomas Matyola and wife Catherine of Punta Gorda, FL.
Susan Trantina and husband Terry of South Orange.
Mary Ann Landry and husband Marc of Vernon.
Also survived by seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren as well as her furry four legged friends.
A funeral service will be held 10am on Wednesday, March 1st at SS Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, 66 Beach St., Rockaway, NJ 07866.
Interment will follow at the church cemetery in Randolph.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dolores’s memory to the church would be appreciated.
