Denise Marie (Kossman) Sydlar

Mt. Arlington:  Denise Marie Sydlar, 72 of Mt. Arlington, NJ passed away peacefully at her goddaughter’s home in Denville surrounded by family and friends on October 14, 2023.

Denise was born on August 27 1951 in Jersey City, NJ.

Denise was one of the strongest, kindest women to walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her. Denise was a wonderful loving mother and grandmother who gave her all to her family and friends. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.

Denise worked at Morris Catholic High School, St. Pius Catholic Church and Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.

Denise loved being with her family, spoiling her grandchildren, Friday night pizza dinners with her friends and cooking. Baking Christmas cookies with her grandchildren was a tradition she never missed.

Denise is survived by her son John, son George, his wife Melissa and their three children Jackson Salvatore, Mia Rose and LeeAnna Denise. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Gordon and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 204 Espanong Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849.

Interment will be private.
