Dempsey Robert Welch

Dempsey Robert Welch passed away December 23, 2021 at Morristown Memorial after a battle with lung cancer.

Often affectionately known as Bob by friends and family. He was born in Dover NJ on May 3, 1954. Bob attended Dover Public Schools. Bob was a skilled transmission technician and worked for 30 plus years for Denville Transmission in Denville NJ. Bob was an avid musician and excelled with the guitar and other instruments as well as writing original compositions.

Bob was predeceased by his partner Linda of 30 years. His mother, father, brother and several sisters.

Survived by his daughter Casey Welch and his sister Wanda Costanzo. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will always cherish their Uncle Bob’s unique personality and approach to life.

A service will be held 11am on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main Street, Wharton, NJ. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, 168 N. Sussex Street, Dover NJ.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
