Jefferson Twp.: Dave J. Buglino, 56, passed away in his home on December 29, 2020. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on May 15 of this year. He managed his illness with strength and courage, and wanted to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible. On his final day, he was surrounded by his wife, three children, and two dogs Bianca “Beans” and Oscar, who he protected and loved more than anything else in this world.
David was born in Pequannock, New Jersey on January 10, 1964 to Mary Ann and Donald E. Buglino (deceased). He grew up in Butler with his two siblings Donald E. Buglino and Jo Ann Potts. Also surviving, his brother Donald’s wife Patricia and children Donald, Kerry, and Margaret, his sister Jo Ann’s children Daniel and Michelle Potts, and his daughter Carly’s husband Ryan Ward.
Growing up, he loved listening to music, going to the beach, and playing football. As he got older, he attended trade school and eventually became a sprinkler fitter for the Local 696 Sprinkler Fitters Union for over 20 years. He was skilled in his trade and enjoyed teaching other “young kids” or junior pipefitters the tricks to the trade.
In his late teens, he met the love of his life, Charla Buglino. They were married September 3, 1988. They started a family complete with Carly, Lindsey, and Nikki Buglino. Dave was a structured, consistent, and a fair father, who taught his children hard work and consistency will always pay off no matter how long it takes. Dave loved his wife, Charla, the most in this world and his daughters hope they can someday love as much as their father loved their mother.
Lastly, he took care of the people around him and never broke his promises. Dave did not want to leave his family and friends, but they know now he is at peace with his deceased father and beloved friends Chris, Tom, and Jim.
Visitation will be held 1-3:30pm on Sunday January 3, at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton. A Funeral Service will be held 3:30pm at the Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
