Constance M. Clark, 78, of Forked River, New Jersey passed away on December 17, 2021.
Daughter of Archibald and Margaret Clark (nee Goodrich).Born in the Bronx, NY her family moved to Wharton, NJ at about 8 years of age. The oldest sister in the Clark family followed by her brother Archibald Clark, Jr., Mary Ellen Metzgar, and Carol Bone.
Connie worked at Nabisco as an administrative assistant until she retired. She moved to Forked River in 2002 with the love of her life, Douglas Smith. For many years she enjoyed family and friends coming down the shore to sail on the “Miss Connie” in the hopes of catching fish. She enjoyed soccer games and sleepovers with all of her grandchildren that she loved with her whole heart. It was her greatest role in her life, and you knew when she spoke about them.
Connie is survived by her son, Edward Clark, his wife Toni and their children Justin and Lauren. She was also a beloved step mother to Tracy Casiano (deceased), Douglas Smith, Jr. and Tara Smith-Baart and grandmother to Zoe, Cecelia, Sonia, Douglas, Peyton, Paige and Andrew. Connie was a loving aunt to Lisa, Jackie, Archie, and David. Connie was a great friend to many and she will be missed by all those she touched.
A memorial visitation will be held 11am-2pm on Sunday, January 16, 2021 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton. A service will be held 2pm after the visitation at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
