Mine Hill: Charles E. Costello passed away peacefully on May 30, 2024 surrounded by his wife and children at his home in Mine Hill. He was 64 years of age.
Charles was born in Dover to the late Thomas and Joan Costello. He was raised in Wharton and lived in Mine Hill for the past 30 years. He was the Owner/Operater of Costello Paving and Sealcoating for 40 years. He was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers. He was also an avid bird Hunter, especially going hunting with his English Pointers by his side. His greatest love was for his family. Charlie will be remembered by his work hard, play harder way of life and his wittiness and humor.
He is survived by his wife Karen (nee Pryor) of 37 years, 3 children; daughter Kaitlyn and her husband David Flynn, son Thomas and his wife Sylwia and daughter Victoria, his 3 cherished grandchildren; Audrey Flynn and Augustyna and Henry Costello, sister Helen Yocum and brother Edward Costello.
Visitation will be held 2-6pm on Sunday June 2 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton. A Funeral Mass will be held 10am on Monday June 3 at St. Therese Church in Succasunna. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Hackettstown.
