Cecilia G. (Hanson) Shupe

Wharton:  Cecilia G. (Hanson) Shupe, 92, was born on January 18, 1934 in Newport, Rhode Island to the late Harold Hanson and Agnes (Brennan).

Mrs. Shupe worked at Picatinny Arsenal for over 20 years in Communications, retiring in 1975.

Cecilia was an active member of the Wharton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Catholic Daughters, 410 of St. Mary’s Church, Wharton.

She was a very skilled and prolific at knitting, crochet and ceramics.  When she wasn’t active in her crafts, Cecilia loved to spend time with her family.

Predeceased by her husband of 68 years, William C. Shupe, Sr. in November of 2019.

She is survived by her four children and their spouses:

Christine Lawson (Brian Davis).

William C. Shupe, Jr. (Jane).

Elaine L. Krasnick (Ronald).

Terence P. Shupe (Marge).

Seven Grandchildren:

Jennifer & Ian Lawson.

William C. Shupe, III & Corey Shupe.

Courtney Averyt (Ryan).

Ron Krasnick (Krissy).

Christopher Krasnick (Marissa).

She is also survived by seven Great Grandchildren:

Logan & Leela Averyt.

Willow.

Merida & Sawyer Krasnick.

Owen & Hadley Krasnick.
