Cathryn Ann Stengel

Cathryn Stengel, 41, of Rockaway, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025.

Born in Denville to the late Richard and Lucia Stengel, Cathryn's heart was always full of warmth, love, and kindness. Cathryn leaves behind her cherished sisters, Cynthia, Jennifer, and Jessica Stengel, as well as her brother-in-laws, Jon Haws and Kevin Morehouse. She was also the adored aunt to her nieces and nephews, Anthony Sgroi, Ashley Sgroi, Mason Sgroi, Nolan Hood, and Liliana Haws, each of whom brought her endless joy.

A true animal lover, she found enjoyment in the simple moments, often spending time with the family fur-babies, PJay and Carly, who brought so much happiness to her life.

Cathryn’s infectious smile and caring spirit brightened every room she entered. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel loved, and her presence will be deeply missed.

Cathryn’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 22, at Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main Street, Wharton. A funeral service will be held 7:30pm. Burial will be held 10am on Saturday at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover.
