Catherine (Cinelli) Croft

Hopatcong: It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Catherine Croft on January 22, 2025, at St. Clare’s Hospital/Dover General. She was 66 years old and left a profound impact on everyone who knew her.

Catherine was born in the vibrant city of New York and moved to Jefferson in 1968, eventually settling in Hopatcong, NJ. Her warmth and kindness created a welcoming space for all.

For 38 dedicated years, Catherine served as a Finance Officer for Picatinny Arsenal, where she was much more than a manager—she was a mentor and a guiding light for her colleagues, inspiring them with her wisdom and compassion.

Catherine cherished her time spent with family and her beloved husband, Steve, with whom she shared over 40 wonderful years of love and laughter. She found joy in traveling, shopping for the latest styles, and most importantly, cheering on her favorite football team, the Giants. Whether celebrating their victories or sharing a laugh over their losses (often accompanied by a colorful exclamation), her spirit shined brightly during game days.

She now joins her late father, William “Bill” Cinelli, and grandmother, Frances Damiani, watching over her loved ones.

Catherine is survived by her devoted husband, Steven Croft; her loving daughter, Taylor Croft; and her cherished grandson, Cole Reed. She also leaves behind her brother, Joey Cinelli; two sisters, Denise Camerata and Patty Fallon, along with her partner Alex; and her beloved mother, Marcelle Cinelli (Damiani). She will be deeply missed by her niece and nephews—Kaitlynn Collins, Joey Cinelli, and Michael Camerata—as well as her brother-in-law, Brian Fallon.

A visitation in her honor will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 2 to 6 PM at the Bermingham Funeral Home, located at 216 S. Main St., Wharton, NJ 07885. A heartfelt funeral service will take place during this time.

Interment will be private.

In our sorrow, we also celebrate Catherine’s life, her unyielding love, and the countless memories that will forever warm our hearts.
