Blanche Ellen Libby

Hackettstown: Blanche Ellen Libby, 63, died peacefully at Newton memorial hospital on June 20, 2021, after a brave battle with a long illness.

Blanche was born in Dover, NJ, in 1958 to Allan Dale Libby and Genevieve (Toker) Libby of Wharton, NJ, where she spent many happy childhood and young adult years.

Blanche settled in Hackettstown, NJ with her son, where she worked as a nutritional aide in Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. Blanche was loved by all who knew her. Her kind and gentle spirit was a bright beacon of friendship to everyone she met. She never failed to have a smile and a lending hand no matter what hardships of her own she bore.  Her lightning quick wit and comical banter was something that we could always rely on.

Blanche leaves behind her most precious son and pride and joy, Dale Joseph Zander, brothers; Gerald Libby of Parsippany, Robert Libby and his wife Jessie Libby of Hackettstown, brother-in-law Glenn Hric of Lake Shawnee, nieces; Heather (Hric) Fishman and her husband Marc of California and Sherah Hric-Pereira and her husband Christopher of Hopatcong, grand-nieces; Kaitlyn Fishman and Alexa Fishman of California.

Blanche was predeceased by her parents Allan Dale Libby and Genevieve Libby and sister Barbara (Libby) Hric.

Visitation will be held 4-7pm on Friday June 25, at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.  Interment will be held 1pm on Monday June 28, at Locust Hill Cemetery, in Dover.
