Betty J. (Heath) Crites

CHESTER: Betty J. Crites passed away quietly on May 17, 2021. She was 85 years of age.

Born on June 18, 1935, Betty was raised in Rockaway, NJ. She continued to live in the surrounding area, as well as Bath, New Hampshire. Betty worked many years in banking before retiring from AT&T.

She always enjoyed traveling, especially the many trips with Barry. She found great joy in spending special times with her family and friends, all of whom she loved.

Pre-deceased by her dear parents Walter & Clara Heath, husband Barry Crites, her children's father Ernest Matthews and their loving sons, Keith and Scott Matthews.

She is survived by her devoted daughter Margo Otey (Gabriel), son Stephen, and 3 step-daughters.

She also leaves her daughter-in-law Maggie Matthews, sisters Janet Stout and Janice Johnson, brother Arnold Heath, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren—with 2 on the way—and a host of extended family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth's Ann Seton Church on Main Street in Flanders on Monday, May 24th at 11am. Internment will be private
