Barbara D. (Lockhart) Taylor

On Monday, October 5, 2020 Barbara Doreen Taylor, a loving mother, grandmother (Nanna T) and friend to so many, passed away peacefully.  

Barbara was born on October 28, 1928, in Orange, NJ to the late Mr. & Mrs. W. Stanley Lockhart. She spent most of her life working in manufacturing. After retirement, she was very active and became a “social butterfly.” She kept herself busy working on the election board and belonged to three VFW's, meeting many friends and associates. In her younger years, she loved roller skating, ice skating, dancing, dressing up and her costume jewelry. Family was the most important thing to her. Spending holidays, family dinners, and phone calls with her grandchildren meant the world to her. 

She is predeceased by her husband Robert Taylor.

Survived by her two sons:

Charles Taylor and fiancé Suzanne Dowd of Franklin, NJ.

Robert Taylor of Wharton, NJ.

Four grandchildren:

Kristy Turner and husband Derrick of Netcong, NJ.

Brian Taylor and wife Michelle of Sparta, NJ.

Marisa McDonald and husband Scott of West Milford, NJ.

Kaitlyn Taylor of Philadelphia,PA.

She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 5-6:30pm on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton, NJ 07885.

A 6:30pm funeral service will follow the visitation, also held at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.
