Barbara F. (Lawler) Meyers

Barbara F. Meyers was born in August 1937 in Jersey City, New Jersey, and lived most of her life with her family in Denville, NJ, and in Mt. Arlington, NJ during her retirement.  She passed away at home on April 19, 2025.

Barbara graduated from Kean College and devoted her professional life to being an educator, having taught at Marie V. Duffy Elementary School in Wharton for decades.  She additionally served as Superintendent of the Adult School at Morris Hills High School and later as a mentor to student teachers at Montclair State University.

Barbara was also devoted to her family.  She was pre-deceased by her husband Manny and her daughter Joanne.  She is survived by her son Jonathan and grandchildren Timothy, Ashley and Abigail.

A service will be held at the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum on Saturday April 26, 2025 at 11am.  (Address: 225 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ 07936).
