Anne M. Matanin of Wharton, NJ left this world peacefully, on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
Anne was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Wharton in 1971.
Anne retired from Picatinny Arsenal in 2003 as a secretary after 29 years of service. She was a member of N.A.R.F.E William J. Ryan, Chap 424.
Anne was a member of the Wharton American Legion, Ladies Auxiliary, William J. Hocking Post 91. She was also an active member of the Morris County Voitures 40/8 #228.
Anne was a eucharistic minister of St Mary's RC Church in Wharton, NJ.
Anne and her late husband, James loved country music, were patrons and visited the many shows at PNC Arts Center, the American Music Theater and Sight & Sound in Lancaster PA.
She is predeceased by her husband “Jim” and were always together for 48 years. Jim and Anne met on a vacation flight to Hawaii.
Visitation will be held 5-7pm on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10am on Friday, December 12, 2025 at St. Mary’s Church, Wharton.
Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne’s memory to the American Legion Post #91, 99 N. Main St., Wharton, 07885 would be appreciated.
