Anna (Mitroka) Hollis

Rockaway Twp:  Anna Hollis passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at VNA Hospice/Dover General.  She was 95 years of age.

Anna was born and raised in the Mt. Hope section of Rockaway Twp. and lived most of her life in Wharton before retiring to Mt. Hope.

Mrs. Hollis retired from Procurement at Picatinny Arsenal after many years of service.

Anna was a member of SS Peter & Paul Church of Rockaway and the Rockaway Twp. Seniors as well as the Picatinny Golf Club. She enjoyed traveling the US and going out to dinner.

Predeceased by her husband in 1978.

Survived by many nieces, nephews and her adopted family:  JoAnn George, Erin George, Joseph George, Annie George who shared many happy moments with “Gramma Anna”.

Also survived by her aides;  Bella Vera and Alma Cortes who spent the last 6 years providing her with the most comfortable and highest quality of life.

Visitation will be held 1-4pm on Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.

A funeral service will be held 9am on Saturday at S.S. Peter & Paul Church, 66 Beach St., Rockaway, where the Divine Liturgy will be offered.

Interment will follow at S.S. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Randolph.
