Wharton: Alan “AJ” Fernicola, Jr. passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, November 28, 2022. He was 36 years of age.
AJ was born in Denville and lived most of his life in the Mine Hill, Wharton area.
Alan was a US Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 91 of Wharton.
AJ completed his Associates Degree and was a former lineman for JCP&L. He also graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelor's Degree. He was a salesman for Cardinal Health Life Insurance and recently a Manager of LA Fitness Gym of Parsippany.
In his spare time he enjoyed watching movies with his children as well as coaching them in various sports.
Predeceased by his mother, Terry Lee Eckert-Hall in 2012.
Survived by his two children, Carlina & Domenico Fernicola and their mother Megan Milano.
Father, Alan M. Fernicola, Sr. and significant other Elaine Dante.
Grandparents, Brenda Eckert and Harry Shuback.
Sister, Taryn Fernicola and significant other Thomas Hohenleitner.
Niece and Nephew; Tessa & Tyler Hohenleitner.
Step-Father, Wayne Hall.
Visitation will be held 3-7pm on Monday, December 5, 2022 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.
A funeral service will start at 630pm after the visitation at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wounded Warriors.
