Dover: Susan Allanson passed on September 23, 2016 at Compassionate Care Hospice/Dover St. Clare’s, with her family at her side after a long and brave battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 50 years of age.
Susan was born in Passaic, NJ and was raised in the Oak Ridge section of Jefferson Twp. She has lived in Dover for the past 17 years.
Susan was a hardworking and caring mother, who always put her family before herself. She made friends wherever she went, and was often called “Second Mom” by her children’s friends.
Susan was a lover of animals, and had three dogs: Gretel, Teddy, and Shushu.
Mrs. Allanson was a hostess for the Meadow Wood Manor of Randolph for the past 10 years. She considered the owners and staff a second family.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Church of Wharton.
Predeceased by her mother Joan Kucinski (nee Pinkus) in 2013.
Survived by her best friend and husband Brian of 32 years.
Four children:
Brian.
Christina Branco and husband Louis.
Andrew and wife Cindy.
Brigid.
Two Grandchildren: Hazel and Gabriel Branco.
Also survived by 7 siblings and her father Alfred Kucinski.
Visitation will be held 5-9pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.
A funeral mass will be held 10am on Wednesday 10am at St. Mary’s Church, 425 W. Blackwell St., Wharton.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dover.
