Robert Johnston Obituary

Mine Hill: Robert A. Johnston died on Sunday, August 24th at St. Clare's Hospital/Denville,
he was 75 years of age.

Born and raised in Kenvil, he lived in Wharton for 15 years before moving to Mine Hill in 1969.

Mr. Johnston was a truck driver for County Concrete of Kenvil for 37 Years retiring in 2004.

Air For Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Wharton American Legion Post 91.

Member of AARP.

Mr. Johnston was awarded the Carnegie Medal for rescuing a person from a burning car in 1972.

Survived by his wife of 51 years: Mary Lorraine (Bolster)

Son: Richard of Dover

Brother: Albert of PA

Two Granddaughters: Jessica and Aimee of Denville.

Funeral service were private.
