Wharton: Richard “Dick” Chervnsik, 80, died peacefully on May 28, 2018. Richard was the son of the late Elizabeth and Steven Chervnsik and was born and raised in the Bowlbyville section of Dover.
Dick graduated from Morris Hills HS and was recognized as a record setting athlete in track and football. He was a dedicated employee of Local Union 825 for 32 years and worked for Della Pello as a Heavy Equipment operator. He only retired in 2005 to care for his loving companion, the late Beverly Morgan.
Dick enjoyed conversation, fitness training, animals, football, fishing, bowling, cards, casinos, and GOLF. He prided himself on the number of PGA golf courses that he played upon and that he shot a hole in one! He was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Wharton. He loved his family and friends and was a helper to all.
Dick was predeceased by his brothers, Bill, Butch and Steve, and granddaughter, Morgan.
Dick leaves behind his 2 sons, Richard (Susie) and Michael, his former wife Myra, his sister Sheri Rutan, his daughter Kimberly (Anthony), three grandchildren Trevor, Taylor and Brayden, one great-grandson Ryder, many in-laws, cousins and close friends.

Visitation will be held 4-7pm on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.
A funeral mass will be held 10am on Friday, June 1 at St. Mary’s Church, Wharton.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mine Hill.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Disabled American Vet (DAV), PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301 will be accepted in his memory.
