James Werner

Lake Hopatcong:  James Werner passed away peacefully on November 17, 2018. He was 72 years of age.

James was born in Orange and lived in the Lake Hopatcong section of Jefferson Twp. for 40 years, where he raised his family.  He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and worked as a Lineman for Verizon for 38 years.

Jimmy, as he was called, was a proud Father and Grandfather. He loved those roles more than any other. He was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed his trains, and shared his passions with both his children and grandchildren. 

He was predeceased by his brother Edward Werner and fiancée, Doris Pagliaro.

He is survived by 4 children; Melissa Meyer, Patrick Werner, Megan Krupnick and Jeffrey Werner, 3 step children, and 12 grandchildren; including Brandon, Jack, Max, Sydney and Grady and 2 sisters; Ellen Werner and Maureen Sharrow.

A Memorial Visitation will be held 1pm-4:30pm on Saturday November 24, at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.  A Funeral Service will be held at 4:30pm.
