Helen Steele (Milliken) Remshifski

Jefferson Twp:  Helen Steele Remshifski passed away peacefully on October 9, 2018 at the Green Knoll Center in Bridgewater.  She was 84 years of age.

Helen was born and raised in Garfield and lived most of her life in the Lake Hopatcong section of Jefferson Twp. She worked as a Teacher’s Aid for 38 years in Jefferson Twp. and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Pearl Chapter #79 in Dover.

She was predeceased by her husband William Jr. in 2002, son William III in 2013 and 4 siblings; Barbara Nemoff, Howard Milliken, Patricia DVornick and Henry Milliken.

She is survived by 5 children; Joseph and his wife Marcia of SC, John and his wife Robin of Old Bridge, Mark and his wife Patricia of Long Valley, Robert and his wife Sandra of Flanders and Beth Rosa and her partner Ken Licwinko of Byram, 13 grandchildren; Bricken and her fiancé Chris, Dawn and her husband Brian, Abigail and her husband Travis, Megan and her husband Crane, Ilena, Sarah, Adam and his wife Kellye, Nikolaus, Madeline and her fiancé Marc, Grace, Michael, Travis and Alexander;, 7 great-grandchildren Weaverly, Anderson, Emma, Chase, Ryan, Ayden and Cameron;, sister Nancy Angevine of CA and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 4-8pm on Friday October 12, at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.  A Funeral Service will be held 10am on Saturday at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Berkshire Valley Presbyterian Cemetery in Jefferson.
