Edward (Eddie) Eyrich

(March 18, 1945 – August 24, 2019)

Edward passed away surrounded by his loving family at Morristown Medical Center on August 24, 2019 at the age of 74.

Born in Newark, NJ and raised in Livingston, Edward was the son of the late Herman and Irene Eyrich. He married his sweetheart of 61 years, Patricia (Milling) Eyrich. They were married 54 years and raised their 3 daughters in Byram, NJ.  

He was employed as a union painter before owning his own painting business. Edward was an avid sportsman and a member of the White Tail Hunting Club and the Knee Deep Club. 

He had a passion from a young age for hunting and fishing. He enjoyed boating and fishing on Lake Hopatcong, Sandy Hook and Lubbers Run to name a few.  He also enjoyed bird, turkey and deer hunting in NJ and PA. 

Family time was very important to him and family vacations included Charleston Lake, Canada and Long Beach Island, NJ. He had a strong sense of friendship, family and tradition. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was one-of-a-kind and will be greatly missed. 

Edward is survived by his wife, Patricia (Milling) Eyrich and his three daughters and their spouses: Christine Eyrich of Byram, NJ; Mary Jo (Eyrich) Iannotta & husband Michael of Stanhope, NJ; and Heather (Eyrich) Grundy & husband Todd of Byram, NJ.

Also survived by five amazing grandchildren: Ashley (Eyrich) Reilly & husband James, Rebecca Iannotta, Corey Iannotta, Brooks Grundy, Lyla Grundy and two Great Grandchildren: Declan and Greyson Reilly. 

Siblings: Donald Eyrich and wife Linda; Kathy Sullivan and her fiancé Dennis Nyce; Richard Eyrich (deceased) and wife Patricia (Riccardello) Eyrich, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held 4-8pm on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton, NJ. The funeral will be Friday morning 11:15am at St. Giles Chapel located in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations boxes will be available at the service for Operation Smile, Lakeland Medical and Northwest Christian School.
