Dover: Dimitrios “Jimmy” Paliatsas passed away suddenly Wednesday, November 7th, 2018. He was 71 years of age.
Born June 20th, 1947 in Nafpaktos, Greece, he was the son of the late George Paliatsas and Vasiliki (nee Trianty).
Jimmy was the proud founder of his own auto shop, Jim’s Mobile Garage, which he opened in the 1970’s. He was loved for his witty personality along with his contagious laugh and smile. Jimmy’s selfless nature was evident through the countless kind-hearted acts he did for others in the community.
He is survived by his loving children and grandchildren. As well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives who live in Greece. Jimmy loved spending time with his grandchildren and was passionate about everything he poured his heart into. He was a parishioner of St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church of Randolph, NJ.
Visitation for Dimitrios Paliatsas will be held on Monday, November 12th, 2018 from 1:00-5:00pm at the Bermingham Funeral Home located at 216 South Main Street, Wharton, NJ.
Funeral Service will be 9:00am Tuesday, November 13th, 2018 from the Funeral Home to the funeral service at St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church, 1447 Sussex Turnpike, Randolph, NJ with procession to his final resting place at Locust Hill Cemetery, 168 N. Sussex St., Dover, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dimitrios Paliatsas memory to St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church.
