Jefferson Twp: Christopher M. Kunkel passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on October 22, 2019 at his home after a long illness. He was 64 years of age.
Chris was born in Morristown and was raised in Hackettstown. He moved to Mine Hill in 1989 before settling in the Oak Ridge section of Jefferson in 2003.
Chris was the Business and Recreation Chief of MWR at Picatinny Arsenal and retired in April of this year after 40 years of service.
Survived by his wife Karen (née Horan) of 27 years.
Two Daughters: Catie and Lexie and niece Michelle Hamorski.
Four Siblings: Kathleen Dippel and husband Jim of Cape May.
Robert Kunkel and wife Dee of Hackettstown.
Joseph Kunkel of Cape May.
Thomas Kunkel and wife Cherie of Henryville, PA and their two children Victoria and Danielle.
A memorial visitation will be held 1 – 4 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the Bermingham Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held 4pm after the visitation at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
