Beverly Ann (Margita) Hansen

Beverly Ann Hansen passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 17, 2018.  She was 78 years of age.

Beverly was born in Dover, NJ to the late John Margita and Edythe (nee Vorhees) and was raised in Wharton.  She moved to the Cedar Lake section of Denville Twp. to raise her family and retired to the Budd Lake section of Mt. Olive.  Beverly was a “snow bird”, traveling and spending winters in Florida.  She relocated to the Carriage Club of Mt. Arlington three years ago.

Mrs. Hansen was an administrative assistant at Picatinny Arsenal for ten years.  She set aside working to raise her four children and resumed when the children were older.  She volunteered at their school as “Room Mom” and the cafeteria.  She also worked at the Peers General Store in Denville and St. Clare’s Hospital/Denville in the Records Department.

Mrs. Hansen was a dedicated bowler.  She was a member of the Denville PTA Bowling League for 40 years at Boonton Lanes.  She continued to attend the dinners of the bowling league even when she couldn’t bowl anymore.  She also enjoyed participating in the Horseshoe Hub Lakes League.

Predeceased by her husband Robert A. Hansen of 52 years in December of 2017.

Survived by her four children:  Chris, Jill, Karen and Erik.

Eight Grandchildren:  Michael, Alex, Nicholas, Jodi, Adam, Ashley, Karlie and Devin.

Sister, Donna Margita of Virginia.

Also survived by her sister-in-law and brother-in-Law,  Ruth Ann (Hansen) And Ronald Lauchnor of Allentown, Pa.

Visitation will be held 11-1pm on Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.

A funeral service will be held 1pm at the funeral home following the visitation.

Interment will be private.
