Rockaway Twp.: Angelina “Betty” Cicatelli passed away at her home on Saturday, August 11, 2018 with her family at her side. She was 93 years of age.
Betty was born to the late Louis Mazzatta and Caroline (nee Pagnotta) and raised in Throop, PA before moving to the Vailsburg Section of Newark in 1942. She moved to Rockaway in 1972.
Mrs. Cicatelli worked at the Bendix Corp. and the Ronson Lighter factory in Newark during WWII as one of the “Rosie the Riveters”. She also worked in Bambergers of Newark. She later worked at Rockaway Valley Bus Company with her husband, James who owned the business.
Betty loved to spend time with her family.
Predeceased by her husband James “Vinny” Cicatelli of 58 years just last year.
Three Brothers: Anthony, Albert & Joseph.
Survived by her daughter: Diane Ploth and husband Doug of Wharton.
Two Grandsons: Shaun & Louis Ploth.
Also survived by her sister Marlane Ritchings of Stuart, FL.
Visitation will be held 4-7pm on Monday, August 20, 2018 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton followed by a funeral service at 7pm.
Burial will be held 11:30am on Tuesday at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty’s memory to the American Legion Post #344, 153 Chestnut Terrace, Rockaway, NJ 07866 would be appreciated.
