Alex J. Vargo

Mine Hill:  Alex J. Vargo passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, January 19, 2019.  He was 49 years of age.

Alex was born in Denville and was a lifelong resident of Mine Hill.

Mr. Vargo was a “cracker-jack” salesman.  He worked for many years at Pella windows and doors and recently for Kuiken Lumber of Ogdensburg.

Alex attended St. Mary’s Church of Wharton.  He enjoyed sports and was an avid fan for the JETS and the NY Yankees.  He loved to fish.

Predeceased by his father, John.

Survived by his mother Rose (nee Susco) of Mine Hill.

Sister:   Michelle Vargo of Hopatcong.

Nephew:  Dominic Bamford of Newton.

Grand Niece:   Briella Bamford of Hackettstown.

Uncle:  Sam Susco of Mine Hill.

Visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9pm on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.

A funeral mass will be held 10am on Wednesday at St. Mary’s Church, Wharton.

Interment will be private.
