Jefferson Twp.: Mr. John E. Pokryska (77) of Jefferson Twp. passed peacefully on July 2, after a long illness.

Born in Newark, NJ “Jack” graduated as valedictorian from St. Benedict’s P/A in 1953. He was a Navy veteran serving from 1953-1955.

Following a 37 yr career as a Field Engineer/Manager with IBM, he was a part-time bartender at the (former) Mark III Manor, and American Legion Post 423.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and brother. He is survived by his sister, four children; five grandchildren; and a great grandson.

A memorial visitation at Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St. Wharton, NJ on Sunday, July 22, 2012 1-3:45 PM. Funeral service will be held at 3:45 PM, followed by a repast at Sonny’s by the lake in Oak Ridge.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Fund.
